He was detained and interrogated by immigration officials at Managua’s international airport last week. He had spent two years in Spain and was attempting to return to Nicaragua. After questioning him about his trip and the reasons for his return, authorities denied him entry and sent him back to Spain. According to exiled researcher Martha Patricia Molina, more than 95% of those expelled, exiled, or denied reentry are Nicaraguans.
