On Sunday morning, Pope Leo XIV celebrated the Eucharist at a parish in Ostia during a pastoral visit as Bishop of Rome. One detail drew particular attention: grown women wearing make-up and sneakers served at the altar. While not unprecedented, it is uncommon to have such women serve at a Papal Eucharist. It had not occurred during Leo XIV’s pontificate until then.
I hate and despise his cheap-looking, modernistic, horrific vestments. Especially those shortened, puny, German-style miters he seems to delight in. Oh for a Pope who dresses like a Pope…..how long Lord, how long?

Did the early Christians worship God like most modern Protestants do today? You know what I’m talking about. Casual gathering. Focused on a communal meal vibe. Hands in the air. Relaxed atmosphere. Almost like a spiritual hangout session. Or even drifting into that 60s hippie style emotional expression where structure and ritual are seen as suspicious. No. That is not what you see when you actually look at history. It is basically the opposite. Start with the obvious reality people ignore. The Apostles were Jews. Practicing Jews. That means they were formed in a system where worship was defined by law, sacrifice, and ritual. Worship was not improvised. Worship was not casual. Worship meant altar, priesthood, incense, chanting, Scripture proclamation, and blood sacrifice. That is how God commanded Israel to approach Him. This wasn’t optional cultural flavor. This was covenant obedience. And these men did not suddenly become modern Western individualists after the Resurrection. They …بیشتر
Dear Dane, We are born with attachments… We are born with those whom we already love in our hearts… Love, truly is ALL! I am a long-retired analyst – as was my late beloved wife where for both we were blessed with “Love at first sight”… We brought with us a Love of the Wild Ones, a love of Trees and Wilderness… A deep pity for what the Wild Ones would have to endure… A terrible for-knowledge of what was to come, both for those we Loved – and ourselves… Our poor old ‘rescued’ Parrot had to go to a so-called “Rescue Centre” as I was taken unexpectedly ill and only survived by… I now have her back, she clings to me whimpering for she was obviously hated and mal-treated having drab feathers and no tail feathers at all… She now cannot grip well and falls off of her perches. The day I returned, our tiny back yard was full of birds – a neighbour said that it was previousy empty… I could only cry my heart out… She is now sitting opon my shoulder and quietly whimpering… Yet now, in this …
The appointment of laypeople to positions of authority in the Roman Curia is not a temporary concession, BUT an ecclesiological advance and a "Spirit-led development", “conservative” Cardinal Marc Ouellet, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Bishops, wrote on VaticanNews.va (February 16). Cardinal Ouellet acknowledges the “unease about a papal decision” given that nuns are now in positions reserved to bishops as there is a “close link between the ordained ministry and the function of governing the Church”. BUT: He has “no doubt” that Pope Francis’ gesture is promising for the future: “It marks the beginning of recognition of the authority of charisms by hierarchical authority.” Cardinal Ouellet's article devotes a significant amount of words to elaborating on the Holy Spirit’s role beyond sacramental ordination, as if this were not well-known before Francis' novelties. Key phrase: "When the Pope appoints a woman to head a Dicastery, he is not delegating his jurisdiction to …بیشتر

By this summer, the group — Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission — is expected to produce a blueprint for policy changes that could redefine the boundaries between government and religion in American life. “We have to bring back religion in America,” Trump told the commission last year. “Bring it back stronger than ever before.” Discussions by the commission …بیشتر
Quentin, a 23-year-old Catholic, died from serious head injuries sustained during violent clashes outside a political conference in Lyon, France, on 12 February. According to witnesses, the attackers were counter-protesters associated with Antifa militants. Prosecutors have not yet officially identified any suspects. Before his death, Quentin received the Last Rites from a priest. Since then, Catholic communities across France have organised rosaries and prayer vigils for his soul.
ILS ONT TUÉ UN INNOCENT. Le silence de l'Etat autour de la mort de Quentin est une honte absolue. Regardez la dignité de la jeunesse catholique face à la barbarie antifa. On n'oublie pas. #JusticePourQuentin#Paris#Hommage

Thursday, August 21st, 1913: Additional Unsworn Statement made at Court by Leo M. Frank to the Jury, Temporary Fulton County Superior Court, Atlanta, Georgia. LEO FRANK MOUNTS THE WITNESS STAND FOR THE SECOND AND LAST TIME OF HIS TRIAL, MAKING AN UNSWORN STATEMENT In reply to the statement of the boy that he saw me talking to Mary Phagan when she backed away from me, that is absolutely false, that never occurred. In reply to the two girls, Robinson and Hewel, that they saw me talking to Mary Phagan and that I called her" Mary," I wish to say that they are mistaken. It is very possible that I have talked to the little girl in going through the factory and examining the work, but I never knew her name, either to call her "Mary Phagan," "Miss Phagan," or "Mary. " In reference to the statements of the two women who say that they saw me going into the dressing room with Miss Rebecca Carson, I wish to state that that is utterly false. It is a slander on the young lady, and I wish to state …بیشتر
Blessed Joseph Allamano - February 16 Blessed Giuseppe Allamano (21 January 1851 – 16 February 1926) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest. He established the Consolata Missionaries (I.M.C.) congregation for males and another for females, known as the Consolata Missionary Sisters. Allamano also served as the rector of the Santuario della Consolata and transformed the shrine into a source of spiritual renewal for the faithful. He was beatified (the last stage before canonization) on 7 October 1990. Giuseppe Ottavio Allamano was born in Asti in 1851 as the fourth of five children to Joseph and Marianna Cafasso Allamano. His mother was the younger sister of Saint Joseph Cafasso. His father died of anthrax when Giuseppe was three. From 1861 to 1866 Allamano attended the Oratory of John Bosco in Valdocco. Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Rubén Darío Jaramillo Montoya, 59, as Bishop of Montería in Colombia. Born on 15 August 1966, he was ordained a priest on 4 October 1992 and incardinated in his home diocese of Pereira. Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Buenaventura in June 2017. Celebrant of Flatbread Eucharists Bishop Jaramillo has close ties to the Neocatechumenal Way. Prior to becoming bishop, he co-authored a study examining the movement’s social impact in his home diocese. When he was appointed bishop in 2017, Spanish Catholic media outlets described him as “coming from the Neocatechumenal Way”. One of their seminaries claimed that his “vocation was born inside the Neocatechumenal Way”. Furthermore, Bishop Jaramillo celebrated several Eucharists for the Neocatechumenal Way, using flatbread and large chalices (see pictures below). These Eucharists constitute liturgical abuses involving large loaves of unleavened bread. The big chalice is usually passed among the faithful. …بیشتر
Leo clearly needs to be told by the catholic cardinals left to get out already. What a pathetic figure he exposes himself to be. Clericalism with bells on.
The Neocatechumenals allow many particles of their particular Eucharistic bread to be lost, due to their manner of receiving Communion, and thus to be profaned, trampled on... According to Schneider, one must distance oneself from the Neocatechumenals because of their unorthodox doctrine on certain points and because they build parallel churches in each parish.
