The British ‘Marian Franciscans’, a break-away group from the Franciscans of the Immaculate, cease to exist on 31 May, they announced today. The leading public figure is Fr Serafino M. Lanzetta. Austrian Bishop Rides Scooter Through Church During Confirmation: On May 24, Bishop Ägidius Zsifkovics of Eisenstadt rode an electric scooter through a church in Neckenmarkt during a Confirmation Eucharist. The scene was captured by a photographer and shared by ORF Burgenland on Instagram. The bishop explained that he wanted to make his sermon "relevant" to the young congregation, having been told that the children in the area are avid scooter riders. Commissioner for Padre Pio's Hospital: Leo XIV has established a Steering and Supervisory Commission to address the long-running financial troubles of Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, the southern Italian hospital founded by Padre Pio.
