Different [contradicting] religions are needed to “broaden the horizon of truth, according to the model of the polyhedron,” Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, said during a September 11 address at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA). He urged believers to welcome “as a gift, the action of God in the other religions,” adding that in their “precepts and doctrines” is reflected “a ray of the truth that enlightens all men.” Such “reciprocal appreciation,” he said, “will enrich our own identity through the reception of the other.” Koovakad presented the different religions as jointly contributing to the construction of the “City of God.” Each person, he added, must ask how to collaborate in this “common project of humanity.” Koovakad dreams that “universal fraternity” may become possible.
“These are not times for entrenching ourselves in partial and fragmented visions of reality. We need one another in order to broaden the horizon of truth, according to the model of the polyhedron, which is capable of incorporating the totality of visions and perspectives in the search for the common good, without anyone being excluded or discarded.” - Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, delivered the address on September 11, 2026, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA) in Buenos Aires.

Italian priest Don Leonardo Pompei was declared excommunicated for schism on September 11 by the Diocese of Latina. The decision follows a penal process conducted under a mandate from the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The key issue is reflected in Pompei’s own words. In a public broadcast on September 5, 2025, he summarized what he had told his bishop: “I have come to the decision not to continue exercising my ministry within the hierarchical communion of the Catholic Church.”
Don Pompei is a traditional priest who rejects heresies and blasphemies. He wants to save souls through the traditional Catholic doctrine, and that's why he was apparently excommunicated by Prevost (pro-sodomite, installed by Bergoglio) and Tucho (homosexual) who are not Catholics. Cartusialover explains on September 11 how the Charterhouse offers a radical answer to a world drowning in noise: silence, solitude and prayer. At first, the cell is a refuge. It shuts out noise, distraction and the demands of modern life. The monks call this phase the “Tender Mother.” But the comfort does not last. Soon the same walls become demanding. The routine remains. The view does not change. Prayer can feel dry. God can seem distant. The cell becomes the “Strict Teacher.” There is nowhere to hide. Regrets return. Illusions collapse. Sin is exposed. “Silence is a confrontation with the sad realities within us,” says Dom Lorenzo Maria. Yet the Carthusian does not see this darkness as failure, but as purification: “We rise and we fall,” the Desert Fathers said. The cell strips away the false God made in man’s own image—a God who is always comforting, manageable and predictable—and teaches the monk to seek the real God, the absolute Other.

POPE LEO XIV PROCLAIMS A YEAR OF GRACE FOR OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE | SG News Pope Leo XIV has granted a special Guadalupano Jubilee Year at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, offering Catholics an extraordinary opportunity for pilgrimage, prayer, conversion and spiritual renewal. The Jubilee will begin on October 12, 2026, and continue until October 12, 2027, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the new Basilica of Santa María de Guadalupe and the transfer of the sacred image of Our Lady of Guadalupe to its present sanctuary on October 12, 1976. The opening also coincides with the 131st anniversary of the Pontifical Coronation of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes, Archbishop Primate of Mexico, announced the Jubilee with gratitude and invited Catholics to gather at the Basilica for the solemn opening Mass at noon on October 12. During the Jubilee Year, Catholics who devoutly visit the Basilica with a contrite heart, …Bivule
Leo XIV has accepted the early resignation of Bishop Guido Gallese, 64, of Alessandria, Northern Italy, today. Bishop Luigi Testore of neighboring Acqui is the new apostolic administrator. Monsignor Gallese was appointed as Ecclesiastical Assistant to the National Association of Shrines by the Dicastery for Evangelisation. Gallese’s resignation comes eight months after an apostolic visitation by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello. No report from Bertello’s visitation was published. ANSA reported that complaints about Bishop Gallese had accumulated in Rome over several years and that the visitation examined diocesan administration and finances, including major property projects. The visitation generated overstated headlines over Gallese’s lifestyle: his Tesla, motorcycle, kitesurfing and residence were repeatedly cited in Italian media. However, the deeper conflict appears to have involved Gallese’s governance. Local media described strong opposition from the clergy, particularly over parish …Bivule

Brazilian Bishop believes in "Goddess" and embraces "all sexual diversity": Bishop José Valdeci Santos Mendes, 64, of Brejo, Maranhão, presided over a Eucharist at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception on September 7, Brazil’s Independence Day. After Communion and before the final blessing, two young men recited the “Creed of the Youth of the Ecclesial Base Communities.” Developed in 2016, the text speaks of a “God/Goddess,” described as “liberating and revolutionary.” This creed explicitly rejects belief in a “hierarchical Church” while “embracing all sexual diversity.” Before the recitation, Bishop Mendes introduced the creed as a “supplication from the youth of Latin America, who stand before God asking him to come to meet us.”
A heterodox creed invoking a “God/Goddess” and featuring left-wing political language was recited at the annual “Cry of the Excluded” Mass celebrated by Bishop José Valdeci Santos Mendes of Brejo, Brazil.
Leo XIV Approves Maronite Archbishop of Damascus Today, Pope Leo XIV has approved the election of Sharbel Ghattas Maroun as the new Maronite Catholic archbishop of Damascus. A Lebanese-born priest, he has spent much of his ministry in the United States. Archbishop Maroun, 64, was elected by the Synod of Bishops of the Maronite Church. He succeeds Archbishop Samir Nassar, 76, whose resignation was accepted by the synod. Since 2020, Maroun has served as protosyncellus, a senior position comparable to vicar general, of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. Born January 6, 1962, in Kfarselwan, Lebanon, Maroun briefly worked for Crédit Libanais bank. Bishop Schneider: Document Against Co-Redemptrix Will One Day Be Cancelled Synodality is a “very cunning code word to undermine Catholic doctrine”, Bishop Athanasius Schneider told AdVaticanum on September 10. He believes the vagueness of the word is deliberate, a means of gradually adapting Catholic doctrine, morality and ecclesial structures to Protestantism and contemporary attitudes toward sexuality. Monsignor Schneider calls synodality the height of the modernist movement, leading toward relativism. He adds that this openness has one notable exception: the traditional Latin Mass. “This document will be cancelled” Responding to the document Mater Populi Fidelis against the Marian titles Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of All Graces, Bishop Schneider argues that the Church cannot cancel language found in missals and used by popes, saints and Doctors of the Church. He believes the document, not the titles, will eventually disappear: “I think, in the future, this document will be cancelled.” …Bivule
He's one of our very good and faithful shepherds! "Peter do you love me?" Pray for him especially now when he's making it clear new church is not Christ's Church.

Emma Bonino has died aged 78. May God have mercy on her soul. She was one of the most consequential figures in modern Italian politics, and Catholics should be honest about what that legacy means. She devoted much of her public life to causes fundamentally opposed to Catholic moral teaching, most notably the legalisation and promotion of abortion. She became a principal architect of Italy’s transformation from an overwhelmingly Catholic culture into a far more secular one. That makes Pope Francis’s repeated warmth towards her, including his extraordinary description of Bonino as one of Italy’s “forgotten greats”, all the more difficult to understand.
War Against the Ancient Mass Is Destructive for the Church - Cardinal Sarah When the generation of the ’68ers passes away, the unfounded, one-sided attitudes against Latin and Gregorian chant will pass away as well, Cardinal Robert Sarah told IlGiornale.it on August 27. Benedict XVI’s liberalization of the Traditional Latin Mass had a positive and even corrective influence on abuses in the celebration of the Novus Ordo, Cardinal Sarah said. “Many priests testify that discovering the Extraordinary Form helped them to celebrate better.” Furthermore, the faithful could choose which form corresponded more closely to the fostering of the faith. “But all of this was brought to an abrupt end by Traditionis Custodes while the Pope Emeritus was still alive.” Francis’ restrictions on the Latin Mass were “neither a wise nor a respectful choice.” Cardinal Sarah added that access to “ritual forms that have existed for centuries can never be artificially restricted by decrees.” Without referring …Bivule
