German Balloon Mass with Female Dialogue Homily: On 22 July, a Eucharist in Munich to celebrate the Feast of St Mary Magdalene featured a woman performing a liturgical dance in a red dress. Another woman wearing an alb and a stole-like liturgical scarf delivered a dialogue homily with Auxiliary Bishop Wolfgang Bischof and stood near the altar during the Eucharist. Red balloons were also used during the celebration.

Diese Woche hat eine Frau eine Dialog-Predigt mit Weihbischof Wolfgang Bischof (München) gehalten. Der liturgische Tanz im Video stammt aus dieser Messe. Anlass war das Fest der Maria Magdalena.

Vatican II said that there should be no liturgical changes unless the good of the Church clearly requires them. Therefore, since Vatican II can't be questioned, this lovely chick/balloon dance must be for the good of the Church.

Young Prevost's Student Pranks: A Laxative Disguised as Candy and Late-Night TV

Anecdotes about Pope Leo XIV's student years at the International College of St. Monica in Rome, belonging to the Augustinian Fathers, are published in the new Vatican News documentary Leone a Roma.
An Augustinian friar recalls that fellow students played "so many jokes" on him—"so many."
One night he woke convinced an airplane was circling outside his window. The brothers had hidden a ringing radio on top of his wardrobe, leaving him searching for the mysterious noise in the middle of the night.
On another occasion, someone offered this friar what he thought was a candy. "They said to me, 'Here, I would like to offer you a candy.' So I thought it was a candy, but instead it was a laxative tablet. As a result, while I was in the chapel I had to run to the bathroom." The documentary accompanies the story with the photo of a smiling young Robert Prevost, without suggesting who was responsible.
Another friar recalls that the future pope would squeeze into his room every single evening to …تېخىمۇ كۆپ

"A woman left to suffer alone."
.
While this is the most common situation, please never overlook the fact that men's reproductive rights are completely and fully abrogated and usurped by women and by law. A woman may kill a man's son or daughter with complete impunity, no recourse for the father, and typically no sympathy or support for the father.

Rupnik Said Trial "Going Very Well for Him" - Report

Italian journalist Luigi Casalini of MessaInLatina.it is standing by his reporting on the Vatican's canonical trial of Rev. Marko Ivan Rupnik after the Holy See denied reports that the judges had reached a decision.
Yesterday, Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni called claims of any judicial deliberation "absolutely unfounded."
However, Casalini argues today that the Vatican refuted something his publication never claimed. His sources indicated that certain allegations had been removed from the proceedings because they lacked sufficient evidence or did not constitute offenses under Canon Law - not that a final verdict had been reached.
"The question," Casalini writes, "is whether our report is unfounded, or whether the only unfounded claim - one we never made - is that a final judgment has already been reached."
Casalini's most striking point concerns a recent conversation with Rupnik. He says a mutual acquaintance spoke with the former Jesuit about twenty days ago, during which Rupnik …تېخىمۇ كۆپ

James Martin SJ Wants the Church to Ordain [More] Homosexual Priests: Homosexual activist Fr James Martin SJ has called on Pope Leo XIV to remove the – largely unenforced – restrictions against "celibate homosexuals" to become priests. Fr Martin believes that "sexual orientation" alone should not stop a man from being ordained. He points to Pope Francis, who said there are already many "holy, healthy and celibate" homosexual priests. However, in 2005 Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger concluded that men with deep-seated homosexual temptations should not enter the seminary because they lack the emotional maturity needed for lifelong celibacy.

Father James Martin calls for ‘gay priests’

Continuing his public advocacy on LGBT issues, Fr James Martin SJ has argued that the Catholic Church should officially admit ‘gay’ priests. In a new essay published by his pro-LGBT organisation Outreach, Fr James Martin has presented his case for why the Church should admit homosexuals to the priesthood. He notes that he is only in favour of admitting celibate men, but after establishing that as the foundation of his argument, the prominent Jesuit calls on the Church to change its rules regarding seminary admission and ordination.

Cotignac Shrines Survive Devastating Wildfire: A major wildfire in southeastern France burned more than 2,500 hectares, destroyed around 60 homes, forced the evacuation of 500 people, and injured four people. Although the flames came within meters of the pilgrimage sites of Our Lady of Graces and Saint Joseph of Cotignac, both sanctuaries were left undamaged, thanks in part to firefighters and vegetation-clearing efforts.

The shrines of Cotignac remain intact after a devastating fire in southern France

The shrines of Our Lady of Graces and Saint Joseph of Cotignac, two of the main pilgrimage centers in France, remain intact after the forest fire that between Tuesday and Wednesday ravaged more than 2,500 hectares in the Var department, in the southeast of the country. The fire destroyed nearly 60 homes, forced the evacuation of about 500 people and mobilized more than 900 firefighters, including personnel from other regions of southern France. The flames reached the surroundings of Cotignac during the night, one of the best-known medieval villages in Provence, whose population multiplies during the summer. Although the fire came within a few meters of the two shrines, both buildings were ultimately unharmed. Evacuation of the shrines Faced with the advance of the fire, the authorities ordered the evacuation of the shrine of Our Lady of Graces and the monastery of Saint Joseph of Bessillon. The religious communities, pilgrims, families present and groups of young people participating in …

And what begins from non-existence, and can be conceived not to exist, and unless it subsists through something else, returns to non-existence; and what has a past existence, which is no longer, or a future existence, which is not yet, this does not properly and absolutely exist. But you are what you are, because, whatever you are at any time, or in any way, you are as a whole and forever. Former Catholic Seminary to Become Muslim Boarding School

The former Catholic seminary and boarding school in Bay Shore, New York, is set to become a Muslim boarding school, reports LiBn.com on July 15. The United American Muslim Association (UAMA) purchased the building for $5.2 million.
The 6,500-square-metre centre, founded in 1926 by the Montfort Missionaries, was used to train priests before later serving as a retreat house.
Pending approval of a zoning change, the new owners intend to establish an Islamic boarding school for up to 120 boys.
According to its website, UAMA aims to provide an education in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
However, local residents have organised opposition to the proposal, with many displaying 'NO Boarding School' signs throughout the neighbourhood.

Bishop Prevost's Handling of Abuse: Accused Priest Dies Without Investigation

Peruvian priest Ricardo Yesquén Paiva has died at the age of 59 without ever facing a canonical or civil investigation into allegations that he sexually abused a 10-year-old girl in 2006.
In September 2024, the Diocese of Chiclayo said Yesquén suffered from a "serious degenerative illness" that left him incapable of defending himself in canonical proceedings. The diocese never identified the illness.
The complainants disputed the explanation, pointing to official diocesan records and photographs showing him at public liturgical events through at least early 2023, contradicting claims that he had long ceased exercising ministry.
One image from January 2023 shows then-Bishop Robert Prevost - now Pope Leo XIV - celebrating a birthday alongside Yesquén, nearly three years after the first complaint.
The case gained international attention because the first complaint against Yesquén reached Bishop Prevost as early as March 2020, while he led the Diocese of Chiclayo.

Father Ripperger: Mortal sin is worse than demonic possession - LifeSite

Thu Jul 23, 2026 - 3:44 pm EDTThu Jul 23, 2026 - 4:37 pm EDT (LifeSiteNews) — Exorcist Father Chad Ripperger told former U.S. Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan that mortal sin is worse than demonic possession. During an almost three-hour interview with Ryan released Thursday, Ryan asked Fr. Ripperger whether “successful exorcisms could be miracles.” For context, he cryptically referenced a “terrifying” experience he had that “only strengthened” his “faith in Christ and God and the Holy Spirit immensely.” Fr. Ripperger affirmed that demonic afflictions, including demonic possession, can have the effect of strengthening the virtue of the afflicted person. Contrary to popular belief, demonic possession “is not the worst” scenario, the exorcist told Ryan. “The worst thing is sin, mortal sin specifically, where you’ve committed such a grave sin that you’re under the power of the demons from a legal point of view,” Fr. Ripperger said. According to Catholic teaching, a sin is mortal when it is grave matter …

occasnltrvlr

Please, help a brother out, here. This is a quote from the LifeSite article (my emphasis):
"According to Catholic teaching, a sin is mortal when it is grave matter, the person committing the sin knows it is gravely sinful, and they have committed the sin with the full consent of their will."
I believe that this is not true. I believe that the requirement is that the person is fully aware that they are committing the sin, but not that the sin is specifically gravely sinful. For example, I am of the impression that there are countless nominal Catholics who do not believe that contraception is gravely sinful. So, according to the requirements cited by LifeSiteNews, they would not be committing a mortal sin by contracepting, however, they actually are, in spite of their ignorance.
If knowledge of the gravity of the sin is a requirement, then those with seared consciences could commit actual mortal sins all day long and not be held to account for them, couldn't they?

Aztec-Inspired Concert "Misa Azteca" at Los Angeles Cathedral: On 27 June, the Cathedral of Los Angeles hosted a performance of the concert 'Misa Azteca', a piece by the composer Joseph Julián González. The production incorporated pagan Mexican musical traditions and featured Nahua poetry and Aztec-inspired dance. The programme began with a ceremonial procession of dancers. Contrary to online claims, the event was not a Eucharist.

This happened on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Apparently Misa Azteca is a unique work that brings together the prayers of the Latin Mass with the rhythms and sounds of indigenous Mexican musical traditions.

James Talarico Now Says He Backs Reparations for Slavery: Polls Show He Has a Black Voter Problem After Jasmine Crockett Called Him ‘Racist’

The Texas Democratic Senate nominee says Texas continues to suffer from ‘reverberations of slavery’ James Talarico (Brandon Bell/Getty Images) Texas Senate candidate James Talarico is now endorsing reparations for slavery to black people as the Democrat continues to be haunted by allegations of racism first hurled against him during the final weeks of his primary campaign against Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas). Claiming Texas still suffers from the "reverberations of slavery," Talarico threw his support behind reparations for black people during a town hall event, saying he would enact tuition relief, homeownership, and baby bonds for black people to help build generational wealth. The move comes at a fraught time for the Texas Democrat as recent polling shows he's struggling to shore up support from the black community and comes one day after he was dressed down by an angry voter who declared that black people don't trust him. "Reparations, repairing past harms, is part of my faith …
