Dr. Larry Chapp was nourished on decades of the Nouvelle Theologie that essentially tried to deconstruct the very foundations of The Catholic Church. These guys who were once ecommunicated by mutiple popes took over The Second Vatican Council and wanted to make a New Church with man as its "god." Their new religion is undergirded by satanic feminism, progressive talmudism and post-modern existentialism, with a LITTLE bit of Jesus allowed in there. Bonus for them is that Sodomites took over. This is Chapp's "church." He and his ilk want nothing to do with Tradition and the True faith. Like good apparatchiks, he and his comrades indoctrinated generations of students and led to the destruction of Catholic higher education.
